FAQ

How do I book a shoot?

There are many ways you can get in touch to book a shoot with me. There is a "Contact" option on my page, or you can send me an email to maddy@madelineballphotography.com. Please let me know what type of shoot you are interested in and which package you have chosen.

How do I prepare for a shoot?

You want both yourself and your horse to be turned out as best as possible. Like being show ring ready, you want your horse to be spotlessly groomed, clipped, and/or braided to have the best possible results for the final images.

If you have any questions or concerns about turnout, please send me a message. Horses that are turned out dirty or with stains to a shoot will incur a fee for additional editing services.

How do I receive my images?

After the session, you will receive a private gallery that can be accessed from your phone or desktop browser. I provide some initial previews within 24 hours of the session (unless otherwise specified) with all final images or proofs available to be viewed within 2 weeks of the session, although my turnaround time is often a lot quicker than that!

What is the turnaround time for receiving my images?

Previews are almost always made available to be viewed within 24 hours of the session, if not the same evening. You can expect to receive your complete gallery within 15 business days of the session.

Horse show proofs are made available to be viewed within 3 business days of the last day of the show. Social media files are available as instant downloads. Rider packages can take up to 5 business days to be delivered.

Is travel included?

Included in every package is 1 hour of travel from my home in the GTA. If your shoot location is further than that, we can discuss additional travel fees.

What is a print file vs a social media file?

Print files are full resolution images that are free from watermarking and include a personal printing license.

Social media files are low resolution, web-sized images that are suitable for digital/social media sharing only.

Do you offer special editing services?

I often get asked "can you fix that in post"? The short answer is yes, however any technical work you would like done to an image will incur an additional fee. If you have questions, please email me for more information.

Please note that if your horse is turned out dirty for a shoot, there will be an automatic additional fee of $150 for post-production photoshop work and no guarantee that every stain or blemish will be removed.

I decided I no longer want an order I placed, can I have a refund?

Unfortunately, since my website orders are all instant downloads, I cannot offer refunds on your orders. There is no way to return a digital product, therefore I cannot refund you your order once it has been placed and fulfilled.
